BAS is a no-brainer. At a very basic level, a well-designed controls system can detect if a building is occupied and adjust temperatures accordingly for maximum comfort (ie, warming up the space in advance). Schedules can be set to control different parts of the building for different times and adjust the requirements for each space accordingly (ie, storage room vs. office lobby, etc.).
